On Sunday 18th some very hardy souls competed for the Willie Paurini Shield – a 100 target Single Rise competition, in what can only be described as atrocious conditions. As the wind howled and the rain came down by the bucketload, the competitors battled the elements and some very wind affected targets. Off the gun saw Dave Kershaw, Phill Bazalo and Doug Turner all end the day with a 92 – with Phill taking out the HOA. But there can only be one winner of the Wille Paurini Shield and a big congratulations goes to Dave Kershaw who blew the field away (while being blown away) with a handicap adjusted score of 114. Congratulations Dave!
