Following a night of wind, rain, lightning, thunder and minor floods – it was time to compete for the Hutt Valley Clay Target sporting championship.  The day got off to a slow start as Field 1 had to be moved to higher ground as it was 3 feet under water!!

After the first 50 targets the competition was anyone’s – in C grade Ben and Jacob were going toe to toe, in B grade John, Tony, Steve and Matthew were eyeing up the big prize while in A grade Adam caught a break on the field but Eddie, Paul and Brian held out hope.

Congratulations to Ben Jolly for the C grade win, Steve Anslow pulled away in B grade thanks to an outstanding 44/50 and in A grade, well Adam was just Adam – a very tidy 92.  It was Adam’s last day at the Hutt Valley club so a fitting way to end 20 years of being an absolute legend – congratulations Adam and we wish both you and Bronwyn all the best for your next adventure.
